Dear Soulfire Traveler,
April arrives with a sharper edge.
March warmed the ground and clarified what had quietly shifted beneath the surface. April begins where that clarity leaves off.
Early in the month, the Full Moon in Libra rises like a mirror held steady in clear light. Libra does not rush decisions. It invites us to step back far enough to see the patterns we are living inside—our exchanges with others, our unspoken agreements, the quiet balances we maintain without noticing.
Sometimes the mirror is reassuring. Sometimes it reveals a tension we have been smoothing over.
Either way, something becomes visible.
Libra’s gift is perspective. When we see the pattern clearly, we no longer have to wrestle with it.
Mid-month, the New Moon in Aries arrives with a very different energy.
Where Libra observes, Aries begins.
Not every beginning is dramatic. Some are almost invisible at first—a small decision, a boundary finally spoken, a quiet act of courage that shifts the direction of a path.
The spark does not need to roar. It only needs to catch.
And as April unfolds, another current moves quietly beneath the surface. By the end of the month, the moon is already building toward the deep waters of Scorpio. Aries lights the flame; Scorpio asks what the flame will transform.
Spring works this way as well.
The land does not bloom all at once. First comes the decision of the seed. Then the first push upward through soil that only recently thawed.
This is a month for noticing where life is asking for movement.
Not urgency.
Not force.
Simply willingness.
A Small Practice for April
Notice one place where you have been hesitating to begin.
Not because you lack the ability—because you were still listening for the right moment.
Take one small step toward it.
Sometimes the path reveals itself only after the first step is taken.
From the Margins of the Lioness
In a noisy world, stories have a curious power. They slow the mind just long enough for deeper patterns to become visible. This month I’ve written a short reflection about why mythic storytelling still matters—especially when the world feels loud and hurried.
If you feel drawn, you can read it here:

Closing Spark
May the mirror show you clearly.
May the spark find ready ground.
With care,
Sheila
